OUR BELIEF

Stem of Faith Ministries international believes are stated below;

One living and true God eternally exists in three persons: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. (Isaiah 40:12-26; Isaiah 46:8-11; Ephesians 4:5-6)

The Holy Scriptures are the infallible Word of God fully inspired by the Holy Spirit and our final authority as the rule of faith and practice. (II Timothy 3:14-17; Romans 15:4)

Jesus is the Christ, the Son of the living God, sent by God the Father to bring salvation to the world. (Matthew 16:16-18)

The Holy Spirit came forth from the Father and Son to convict the world of sin, righteousness, and judgment, and to regenerate, sanctify and empower for ministry all who believe in Christ. We believe the Holy Spirit indwells every believer in Jesus Christ and that He is an abiding Helper, Teacher, and Guide. We believe in the present ministry of the Holy Spirit and the exercise of all of the biblical gifts of the spirit. (John 15:26; 16:8; Acts 1:8; John 14:16; I Corinthians 12:4-11)

Jesus Christ was born of a virgin. We believe in the life and ministry, the substitutionary death and the bodily resurrection of Jesus Christ and in His ultimate return. (Luke 2; Matthew 28; I Corinthians 15)

All men have fallen through sin and need salvation by grace through faith as a gift from God and not of works. The power of the redemptive blood of Jesus Christ brings justification by faith. (Romans 10:9-10; Ephesians 2:8-9; Romans 3:23-26)

There is a heaven as the reward of the believer beyond death, including a bodily resurrection from the dead. Likewise, there is a hell as the reward of the unbeliever beyond death, including a bodily resurrection to live in everlasting torment and separation from God. (Matthew 25:31-34)

There is a new heaven and a new earth that will take the place of this physical planet at the return of Christ to renovate and restore all things to their original created form. (Revelation 21:1-7)

The Great Commission was given by Christ and it is binding on every believer to go into the entire world preaching the gospel of the Kingdom of God to every creature, making disciples of all nations. Every believer is to be a minister of reconciliation. (Matthew 28:16-20; Mark 16:15; Luke 24:47; II Corinthians 5:17-20)

The earth is the Lord's and the fullness thereof. The God of heaven and earth made all things for our good. The natural and supernatural are to work together for the meeting of man's needs spiritually, mentally, physically, and financially for the fulfillment of God's ultimate purpose. (John 1:1-12; Revelation 4:11; Hebrews 1:1-5)

All that are born of Christ by His spirit are the Body of Christ and constitute the true Church. (Matthew 16:18; I Corinthians 12:12-14; Ephesians 4:3-7)

The two ordinances Jesus Christ committed to the Church are Baptism and the Lord's Supper. We believe all believers should follow the Lord's example and be baptized in water and should regularly participate in the Lord's Supper (Communion). (Acts 2:38; I Corinthians 11:23-30; Luke 3:3; Matthew 28:19-20)

The laying on of hands is for the empowering of the Holy Spirit, for receiving gifts of the Spirit, for healing, and for recognizing and empowering those whom God has ordained to lead and serve the Church. (Isaiah 53:4-5; Matthew 8:17)
